So, what's my problem? I am miserable! I am sore, tired, and grumpy! I mean REALLY grumpy - and I am normally a very bubbly, cheerful sort of person.

Mrs DJB,

I found that exercising at the gym was not enough. I made a very conscious decision to become an active person and not restrict my exercise to the gym.

I work alot out in the yard and do all my own maintenance work. Same with housework. If there is new siding to put up, that's me hanging from the ladder.

I see a bike ride that looks interesting, I do that. I walk down by the waterfront for entertainment. I walk everywhere and ditch the car (I have a small collapsable grocery cart and pack my own groceries in there.) I walk downtown for fun. I play soccer for recreation and with my son.

This morning is my day off and I dug up part of my sidewalk median and laid down a new weed barrier and topped it off with river rock. I'm about ready for a nap but I feel good.

It's been hard to change my mindset, but it's worth it.
