I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this problem.

When reviewing my elderly mom's checking account statements today (Sunday), I discovered the SSA just stopped direct depositing her monthly Social Security check a few months back. The last deposit was in March. She has no problems with the checking account, e.g. no garnishments and no overdrafts. The direct deposits just stopped and nothing was ever sent to her by the SSA as to why. She has not changed her bank account information, either. The deposits just, poof, stopped. Her mail goes to a post office box so nothing could have been stolen.

I'm going to call the SSA and her bank tomorrow (Monday) to see if I can get an answer, but it would be helpful to know if anyone else has ever heard of or experienced a direct deposit problem like this.

Thanks.
