I ran across this interesting piece of information while I was doing my research. Timberland bans smoking on its workplace premises: http://blogs.forbes.com/csr/2010/06/03/timberlands-smoking-b...It definitely made me think, is this good, responsible corporate citizenship or simply too intrusive into employees' personal habits? I fall on the side of "too intrusive," (maybe even WAY too intrusive) although it doesn't sway me from liking Timberland overall due to its other initiatives. And I'm sure quite a few people would strongly disagree with me. Still, it's an interesting thing to ponder. Not to mention, an employee having a nicotine fit might be an awfully crabby camper.
