Hey guys. It's been a while since I've been able to go up. We've had some crummy weather and I've had other things planned for the nights I usually fly. So finally last night I got to go up. I did 2 awesome landings and 3 good ones with my instructor there, and then on the 5th one he said, request a full stop on this one. I dropped him off and away I went on my first solo. It was like driving home after you get your driver's license. I was really scared and nervous at first, but I settled down when I pulled the carb heat and reduced power. It was just like we'd been practicing. My first landing was real good, the best of the three by myself, the last two I got a little low, but corrected them and all was good. The tower switched controllers in the middle of the flight so the new guy asked if it was my first solo when I got on the ground. He congratulated me along with a couple other planes and even the guys from the airlines were listening and congratulated me. Afterwards we went inside and Tony cut my shirt off and we talked about the landings. It was a pretty exciting evening!
