Some people do indeed end up trapped by parental demands. Sure they do. Some of them commute long distances to work, some of them work at one of the few places available in that small town and often that is walmart. I don't have a problem with anyone complaining about the place they work, everyone has headaches at work. Some are worse than others, retail sucks just in general. Been there, done that. The problem I see is that people pick on Walmart because it caters to small towns, people on a budget, etc.. but they all love Trader Joes! YOu know what? Trader Joe's isn't providing jobs in teensy little towns for people with parent obligations. Walmart is.
