Sorry about that. I was off on other posts, making a pest of myself.

The receipe... I cook from the seat of my pants (i.e. make it up as I go along) but this much will work.

Equal parts thereabouts of:

Soy
A1
Worstershire
Balsamic (go easy here)
Minced garlic (the real stuff, not the mush from a jar)
Drop or two of lemon or lime juice
A jigger of sherry or rum
A dollop of good hot sauce

Mix and taste. If too tart (like you used a heavy hand with the balsamic), add a pinch of sugar or a tablespoon or two of whatever BBQ sauce you have hiding way back in the fridge.

Make very slight cross-hatch slices in your flank steak. Put it in a zip lock, pour in your marinade and slide it in the fridge. Massage it a bit. Tomorrow drain it in a colander, then hop it on the grill. Cook to desired tenderness. Slice thin on a bias.

Now look what you've made me do! I'm going to have to go out and do this up now. Jeez!

Have a nice dinner,
Jonnycake
