Sorry for the caps, just trying to be clear. Why would I consider doing this? Because I expect taxes to go up in the future.or because you want to decrease your IRA to decrease your RMDs (doesn't much decrease your tax bill, but does allow some flexibility)or because Roths aren't taxable to heirs and don't have RMDs
