Sorry LD, I am a macho guy from Brooklyn I do not read touchy feely

But I will take this opportunity to pass along a sad couple of tales and tails.

I have 2 folks I am relatively friendly with. Both dog owners.

One now is dogless, the other now has a dog with wheels on the hind quarter so he can wheel himself around(the dog seems fine and well adjusted to this and quickly for you pet lovers -- for you fically sane, the person spent over 5k to get to that state!)

Both of these were avoidable tragedies.

One allowed his dog to run free off leash, and on a squirrel hunt the tragic chase/car scenario ensued.

The other had her dog on one of those leashes that are retractable and the dog darted into traffic.

SO for you dog owners in anything not truly rural, please be careful out there, both for you and your important buddies.
