Sorry to two previous authors...I opened the board because I hold the stock and am always interested in other views--yours.

I invested in Barnes because I was wanted a conservative holding. As mentioned prior, the dividend is good and has a good track record. I wanted a supplier rather than a finished product stock, and I felt the breadth of products was sufficient to offset manufacturing cycle bumps. It's international reach fits into my "international investing" as I'm still uncomfortable with foreign holdings. And I like a home-grown company--I live in Ct.

I recommend this stock to anyone with a interest in long-term gain.
