Recently my son had to erase the hard drive on my computer due to spyware/adware, which he was successful in doing so.
But now the computer has no sound, I get error messages stating, "Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There may not be a sound device installed on your computer, it may be in use by another program, or it may not be functioning properly."

My speaker's are correctly connected to the tower and monitor. My son even used Microsoft troubleshooting, but that didn't help. Is there a way that we can simply fix this or do we have to pay someone to put a new one in or repair it?
