Sounds like a mix-up but I just read something on MF about how if you end up with a default rate on one card, the other card companies may jack up your rate, even if you've never been late with them.

Read this very carefully:
This is NOT a mix up!

The clause is called Universal Default. If you are late on one card and incur the default penalty rate, all of your cards with this clause can and probably will jack their rates up to their default rates too.

You must handle CC debt very very carefully and be sure you've got back up plans to handle emergency contigencies.
