Sounds like someone wants a quick fix to me. She needs to think about her spending habits and then see where her money is going. Also, she needs to establish some sort of emergency funds. Taking the money now and paying off the cards, then putting lots of debt back on the cards is a foolish.

She should make a budget first and see where her money is going.
