I took these four shots over a 12 month period in 1975-76 while stationed in Germany. My intent was to have them in perfect register, but fate would get in the way. After the first shot (autumn) the wooden foot bridge on which I marked my tripod position partially collapsed and was closed to traffic; I had to sneak on there to get the winter shot done. The following spring the bridge was rebuilt from the ground up, and given a higher arch, so I lost my elevation reference, and had to take several frames of Ektachrome 160 to get near the ideal spot, but never did. Life went on, and I traded in my Minolta for an Olympus OM2 system, with 28, 50 and 100 mm lenses. Ahem, but the earlier shots were done with a 38-100 Tamrom at its widest setting, so again the perspective was off. Thirty-some years later, along comes Photoshop and after scanning the slides into digital format I did my best to get them reasonably close to being in register, but this is as good as I could do.~ajhttp://photoshopography.com/1028p1
