Springtex,

You are a real piece of ... ... work.

You said in your thread title: Cropp was tool of gay sex industry...

Then, in your text, you stated,

Read the link. It's all there. The owner of a bunch of gay bars that would have to be shut down if the proposed D.C. stadium were built was helping to bankroll the opposition

Springtex, it is not "there", at all. Siegel is simply angry that his sordid little empire might come crumbling down. $20,000 is money that he could have spent to keep his establishments clean and ahead of the fire code, rather than the sleazy little sweat joints that they are. (And before you make a wiseass remark about "Well just how do you know that, Charles?", the media has been inside of those joints with hidden cameras over the years, for all to see.)

Nowhere in the article does is mention that Siegel or members of the other associated groups are in collusion with Chairman Cropp. Why do you continue to libel against her? The closest statement that would cause you (and only you) to even REMOTELY assume that Siegel and Cropp were in cahoots may have come from this statement:

"Opponents of a publicly financed baseball stadium spent roughly $50,000, trying to sway public opinion."

Mister, there are lots of people who are against a publicly financed stadium. That doesn't mean that they all have anything to do with Ms. Cropp. Siegel doesn't want his businesses to be torn down, no matter how the new stadium is funded. He gives as much of a damn about Chairman Cropp as you do.

Charles
