The company not mentioned that Starbuck's need worry about is Tim Horton's. It is a Canadian chain of doughnut shops bought by Wendy's. Wendy's is rolling them out through the States, starting in the Northeast. Why should Starbuck's be concerned? In Canada Tim Horton's outsells Mcdonalds - having passed them as Canada's largest restaurant chain by dollars last year.( Mcdonalds has been in Canada since the sixtys). In Wendy's recent quarter their growth was fueled by Tim Hortons. Canadians flock to Tims because of the coffee, which is always fresh and a strong flavour without being bitter. In blind tastes tests here, it always beats Starbucks. Watchout Starbucks.
