M-Systems' DiskOnChip Selected by Boundless Technologies for Innovative Internet Appliance -- iBrow
LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 15, 1999--M-Systems Flash Disk Pioneers Ltd. (Nasdaq:FLSH - news), the leader in flash-based local storage solutions for the Internet appliance and embedded market, Monday announced that the Internet Appliance Group of Boundless Technologies Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Boundless Corp. (AMEX:BND - news), has selected DiskOnChip as the local storage solution as part of its new Internet appliance architecture, iBrow(TM).

The introduction of iBrow marks Boundless' innovative entry into the Internet appliance market with a product that permits remote customized access to Web sites.

iBrow allows the user to access the Web instantly upon start-up and access their favorite sites directly from the user interface - without a PC. For businesses, the device consists of a combination of both software and hardware that enables the Internet Web site to become the home port for Internet clients. The first version of iBrow is based on the National Semiconductor Web-PAD(TM) reference design for Internet access appliances.

``Currently DiskOnChip provides all the capacity and reliability that we require for iBrow and iBrow enabled devices,' said Chad Gibbons, director of business development, Internet Appliance Group of Boundless Technologies. ``Additionally, because of its scalability and cross-platform flexibility, we found DiskOnChip to be the most viable option for iBrow. DiskOnChip fills the compact storage needs for multiple Boundless products.'

``M-Systems is very pleased that Boundless chose DiskOnChip to be part of the launch of this Internet appliance innovation,' said Aryeh Mergi, executive vice president of marketing, M-Systems. ``With the success of DiskOnChip in Boundless' other products, we are confident that DiskOnChip will again add significant value to iBrow. This selection further illustrates the versatility of DiskOnChip and the many Internet appliance applications in which it can be used.'

M-Systems and Boundless Technologies will both be participating in the Information Appliance Pavilion during COMDEX/Fall 99. Sponsored by National Semiconductor, the Pavilion will showcase technology beyond the PC focusing on the phenomenal growth of information and how the Internet is creating a huge demand for a host of new, easy to use devices for the home and the office.

Visitors to the Pavilion will be able to see the innovative ways Boundless Technologies and M-Systems are collaborating to create solutions for this booming market.
