Is it allowable to transfer stock into a Roth IRA, or must it be a cash deposit?

Thanks,

Sam

Greetings, Sam, and welcome.

<<Is it allowable to transfer stock into a Roth IRA, or must it be a cash deposit?>>

If the stock is within a traditional IRA or another Roth IRA that is being rolled into the Roth, then it may be done. Otherwise, the answer is no. Annual contributions may be cash only.

Regards....Pixy
