Hello,

This is a second, improved format, copy of a post I made earlier.

Included below is a table of information I compile as the start of my screening process to select potential equity investments.

The table is created by software that takes as input a list of tickers, performs necessary calculations, then tabulates it in an html file (or ascii text file) as shown below.

I am providing it here to see if on-line investors would be interested in this type of thing as a service. You provide a list of symbols, you recieve back the table including the information shown complete with hot-links (in the html version) so you can have easy access to WWW resources to further evaluate your investment ideas.

OR -- If you like my screening criterion (or want to provide me yours) I can provide you periodic updates of this table as a service.

Please let me know what you think either in this forum or by email to
twarneke@cisco.com. All comments are welcome (NO SPAMers).

Indicate in your _email_ message if you
would like a sample html copy of the
report emailed back to you.

Enjoy!

Selected Stocks:
These stocks are selected by my first pass screen criterion of:
recent volume surge,
priced between $7 and $20,
RS of 60 or better,
positive earnings (PE is greater than 0),
Trading within 10% range for previous 2 weeks,
and average daily volume of 20K shares or more over past 30 trading days.

Heading Key:
TICKER Stock Ticker Symbol
%Rvol 100*(Past weeks average daily volume)/
(previous 30 day ave. daily volume)
Ex: a value of 200 would mean that the
past weeks average daily volume is
200% higher than the previous 30 day's
average daily volume.
RS The current Relative Strength of the stock
compared to all other stocks.
PE Current P/E ratio
PR/REV Current Price/revenue per share ratio
PM Current profit margin
(Based on past 4 quarters)
PEG Current PE/Estimated Growth Ratio
(The Fool Ratio)
TERM The time, in years, that PEG is based on.
Gr Est The annualized growth rate used to calculate PEG.
Scr(+) Ranking system (Score) that adds one point for each of:

RS > 80 Add a point
RS > 90 Add a point
--
PR/REV < 3 Add a point
PR/REV < 1 Add a point
--
PM > 5 Add a point
PM > 10 Add a point
--
PEG < 1* Add a point
PEG < 0.6* Add a point

* (Must be greater than 0)

Max Scr value is 8+.
If all of the 4 categories qualify
for at least one point, then highlight with an appended "+".

I use the Score system to identify stocks that I should look into first. My investment exploration time is limited, so I try to explore equities with the most potential first, then look into the others as time permits.

The higher the Scr value the better. I use the "+" to highlight stocks that look good in all key criterion.

NOTE: Zero values indicate that data is not available for that stock.

Hot-link key:
The table is provided in text and html format. Only the text format is shown above. The html format can be used in a WWW browser (such as Netscape) to provide instant access to company related WWW sites over the internet. The "hot-links" are appended to the end of each row as: PR QS EE ZA

The links forward you to specific company information at the following WWW sites:

PR Yahoo Profile -- Company description and Snapshot of current financials.
QS Quick Source Fundamental data for past 6 years and 4 recent quarters.
EE Stock Smart earnings estimates and analysts recommendations.
ZA Zacks earnings estimates and analysts' rankings.
