I tried "Search" but the function is down this morning.

My question is:
My IRA is split between two brokers...Fidelity and Ameritrade. I have UV4 and FF4 in both accounts. Is it possible to transfer "stock" between brokers or must the transferred stocks be sold and then the funds transferred?
I am getting ready for a major annual rebalancing act and it would be much quicker if the stocks could be transferred directly.

Thanks for any ideas,
Roger
