Stop thinking you need an adviser. I don't know how long you have been with this firm or how much you have invested with them, but you have probably been paying a small fortune in fees over the years. You should check into discount broker like Schwab or Fidelity where you can get advice but do it yourself, or a full do-it-yourself broker like Scottrade or TD Ameritrade where you can do your own research and make your own decisions.

Who doesn't care how highly a mutual fund is if it isn't making you a lot of money...
