Can you please tell me where to look in IRS Rev. Rulings, Code, Pubs or anywhere else that we can read in depth about the Stretch IRA? so we can help my mother make an informed decision. At present time she has attended a seminar and then followed up with a one on one meeting with said lecturer. As it turned out he appeared more to be a fast talking used car sales man.
Please help. Thanks

There two articles in the fool.com archives that you should read:
1. Stretch Out IRA, www.fool.com/school/Taxes/1999/Taxes991231.htm
2. Have you checked your IRA lately
www.fool.com/retirement/retireeport/2000/retireeport00124.htm
These two articles and links will give you alot of good articles to read for estate planning and MRD
There are two good calculators that will also help you.
1. www.piperjaffray.com/si
2. www.i-orp.com
If you have further questions feel free to contact me at gstipps@iquest.net I am a leter of a Retirement Planning Study Group we discuss issues like this in our meetings.
