My girlfriend needs to get student loans for her final semester. She knows that when she started school her family's expected contribution was more than tuition, and she wasn't eligable for any non-loan aid. My question is this: Can she even get any sort of federal loans (Stafford, subsidized or not) or should we simply look for the cheapest private student loans available?

Any links to a student loan board would be appreciated.
