Well the Yamaha is here but none of my cables. I got all the speakers hooked up but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to jury rig this thing like we did with the Sony until the other cables get here. I labeled the RCA cables before I unplugged them from the Sony. There were 2; CD in and Video/audio in on Video 1 which had no video cable in use at all.

At the moment I've got them plugged into AV5 and AV6 and I turned on the amp. Nothing blew up but there's no sound. And yes I did figure out how to turn to the various AVs with the remote.

Is there any danger of screwing up anything if I just try the other AV inputs

In the meantime I shut it off and connected the AM and FM antennas.

That worked. In fact I am amazed I am getting a signal. I live in sort of a hollow in a swamp with huge trees around me. I have never been able to get much of a signal here so no radio. I've got 8!! Okay 2 of them are the same station but I've got a couple country, a couple rock, a couple I don't even know and the only classical station in the area. And it's outputting on all 5 speakers. I've never had surround sound music before. I could get used to this.

Now if only those cables would leave Belleville and make their way up here!

PS glad I ordered an digital optical audio out because it turns out my LG TV does not support ARC.
