I know someone here must know the answer to this:I know that $3000 loss can be used to offset capital gains. But, I just realized I don't even have a $3000 capital gain this year (less trading since BMW strategy starting over a year ago). So, do assuming I want to take a loss to offset gains - do I want to do $3000 worth or only, say, $2000 - if that's the amount of gains i have for 2005?-Noodle (realizing the amount we are tlaking about is so small, it's not worth my time - but i am just anal enough to care)
