I purchased this about 2 weeks ago and have used it on 6 training runs so far. This is my first heart rate monitor so I don't have much to compare to but its working very well for me. Some things that attracted me to this watch

- Price: It was $150 CAD which was a pretty low entry point for me

- Training Effect: Suunto has licensed some technology that allows them to report the "training effect" of each run / workout as a single number (ranging from 1.0 to 5.0). This makes it easy to plan out your activities for the week.

- Modular: Suunto has GPS / Foot / Bike / PC "Pods" that you can purchase all for $80-$150. The GPS Pod is of interest to me; and I will probably get one soon.
