I'm not a fan of musicals. By that, I mean I typically hate them. Mostly what I hate is that I've got to watch what usually amounts to a boring story anyway, but watching people sing that story makes me angry because half of what's going on I either can't understand (people singing over each other or in cryptic lyrics), or I have to hear repeatedly in chorus and verse.

ST suffered the same issues as all musicals, but other than that I quite enjoyed the film even though the ending was completely predictable. I thought The Judge was built up beautifully, and I hated him quite early on. I rather enjoyed the comic relief Sasha Cohen brought. In general I really liked it...it's the first musical I can honestly remember enjoying.

I rated it 4/5 on Netflix but probably more accurately put it at a 3.5 just cause I really didn't like the musical aspect. The music was solid, but as noted it suffered the same issues as other musicals...I missed out on some of the story and the repetition was ugh and in general I can't stand a movie being told through music. I think if this was a regular movie it'd have been a 4 or 4.5...
