Reported by the NY Times that SYMC is acquiring VRTS for over 13 billion dollars. VRTS is up 3.41 in pre-mkt trading. Based on pre-mkt trading, VRTS has a mkt cap of 12.07 billion. Based on what I know, if SYMC acquires VRTS for at least 13 billion does this mean that in the short term one could possibly make at least 7.66%?

28.60 x 422.13 = 12,073 VRTS mkt cap

13,000 - 12,073 = 927 premium

927 / 422.13 = 2.19 profit per share

2.19 / 28.60 x 100 = 7.66%

If there something wrong with this let me know.
