I was just reading an update on the Internet (Drudge Report) indicating that the scumbags in charge of this bailout have quietly added bad college loans, bad credit card debt and bad auto loans to this package. Despite what you may think about Drudge's politics, his reporting is usually pretty accurate.

Does this mean that if I decide I don't want to keep making my mortgage payments, the government will eventually buy my loan from Wells Fargo and then work with me to keep me in my house? What a concept! Maybe I should buy that Ford Flex I've been looking at, finance it through Ford Credit, and then not make any payments on it. That way the government will by that paper from Ford, and then come after me for payment.

This has gone beyond ridiculous and scandalous to outright despicable and contemptible. I still hope the bailout fails and we get that recession or depression. We will all start with a clean slate, and hopefully most of these scumbags will be voted out of office this fall.
