I seem to be having a senior moment and would appreciate a sober review. My situation in a Taxable account:1. 375 shares of mutual fund with current value of $12,914.2. Current cost basis of $13,142. = Long term loss of $228.3. Projected fund distribution 12/14 of 13.9%. 4 With a NAV of ~$35.00 x 13.9% =$4.865/share = ~$1,824 That would be taxable income. I have no love for this fund and would probably sell anyway, but wouldn't it be smart tax wise to sell no matter what?I don't need the losses as I have about $50,000 of carryover losses now, and I don't want or need additional income.Any comments would be appreciated.
