Tanaquil - you are doing AWESOME! And you did it while still retaining that trip to Japan, so you're not totally in super-grim hardship mode. A trip to Japan is so much better than a Wii anyhow...

Yeah, FEB in the northeast sucks. I used to get so depressed every FEB when I lived there. That pretty much stopped when I moved to CA. It's wet here, but our FEB is the greenest time of year, and trees just barely starting to bud out. There are cherry and plum blossoms everywhere now. The worst time of year here is SEPT. Brown, foggy, wildfires, the Santa Ana winds, and the summer flowers are mostly over.
