Taught in a private (Assemblies of God) high school for 2 years; taught in a public high school for 1 year; swore I'd never set foot in a classroom again and did software development for 10+ years (which included adult education classes for some of our customers).

Put our kids in a parochial (Catholic) elementary school and had to volunteer; ended up as trampoline coach for our kids' tumbling & trampoline team--really enjoyed both of those.

In three weeks will be teaching a 30-minute daily remedial math group for about 10 middle-schoolers--volunteer. Still not sure I would consider teaching full-time--as a volunteer I have a lot more options.

I don't originate a lot of posts and only respond to ones I actually think I have something to contribute or have a strong opinion on.

Kathleen
