We are retired living 6 months and one day in Wisconsin and the remaining in Florida. We are considering staying in Florida for seven months and becoming residents. We have 401K, pension and other investments. After reading that Wisconsin is the third highest tax state we are wondering. We have a manufactured home in Florida and the same in Wisconsin, own both, but rent the land. We have found that the car insurance is higher in Florida but no state tax. This would to our advantage on the pensions. We are not rich but comfortable.
