Hi Everyone

I'm almost embarrassed to ask this, but here goes:

I owned DUK stock which spun-off Spectra Energy. Fractional shares were not issued so I received a check from Spectra for the grand total of $23.15 for the fractional part.

The DUK shares were accumulated at various points. So, I'm not sure for income taxes what to put for my date acquired, cost basis, and date sold.

Any help would be appreciated.
