I am trying to figure out the extent of recordkeeping needed for a 401k account with regards to payment of taxes at withdrawal. I track the summary performance of my account, but don't have any clue as to the extent of dividends, capital gains with regards to each fund. I guess, my question is, how will be withdrawals be taxed.
