Im posting on Behalf of my pal.
He has worked in 2 states : Cal and NJ during 2000.

he earned 45K during the period.

How does he calculate his federal and state taxes.

The table on the IRS site states some 9K$ as tax.
Does this accounr for personal exemption.and even if does, im sure it may not account for 3K exemption for indians.In that case, shud the
28% tax slab over 26,250$ be used.
