Teri,

First off, not to make you nervous, but it needs to be said.

I am really nervous that you gave this collections company your bank information - I mean really nervous. Maybe I misunderstood???

I'd be curious as to what others think about this. What would stop them from trying to withdraw more when you don't come up with the monies that they are demanding?

I would suggest posting your budget on here so folks can help you figure out how much you really can pay on everything each month - specifically on what you really can pay on this Discover debt. I would also start having these conversation in writing with the collection company - rather than over the phone. Figure out what you can really pay per month on the debt and put it in writing via certified mail with the first payment. Tell them all further communication should be in writing to whatever degree that will work - and make that payment on time.
