This is a very late post, and for that I am sorry. However, you all here have been very helpful and supportive, so better late than never with my update.

We first tried some kind of hormone shots and normal, um..., actions to conceive. When that didn't work, my wife and I underwent IUI ((tho, of course, it was mostly her) about 29 weeks ago. After many years of trying the old fashioned way, the first time with the IUI it was successful. In roughly 10 weeks, we will have our first, and yes, second children. Fraternal twins! At Christmas time! One of each! The pregnancy has been relatively uneventful, tho neither of us realized how many doctor appointments (and their frequency) was required for both the IUI and then the twins. (Maternal Fetal Medicine, OB\GYN, and PCP visits with increased frequency)

It has been an amazing experience so far, and we are very happy we went with IUI. We are very happy it was the first time as well, as she didn't like the shots. But the nursery is painted, furnished, and the decorations are starting. Each time I walk into that room now, I feel a sense of peace, contentment, and excitement. If anyone has any questions about the procedures, I will be happy to answer them. Thank you once again for your support on this board.
