Thank you all for the advice. I am still digesting it. Meanwhile, before I had the good fortune to find you Fools, I put about 45% of my IRA in bond funds. Schwab charges a fee, I believe it is 0.75%, to get out before 6 months. I was thinking that I should wait before changing. Is this a good idea? I do have about 20% of the IRA in a S&P 500 Fund, and some international funds (index and otherwise). I still have about 35% in cash that I can invest in stocks - and for that I am studying Foolish advice before making a move.
