Thank you all for your responses.

I asked them their tax status and they said they were a 501(c)(3). Then I asked them for a copy of their annual report and Form 990 and they said they were not allowed to give that out.

Then sent me some brochures in the mail, but nothing of substance.

This is really disappointing because I know this charity has helped out many people in our community, but it just doesn't sound right that they claim they are not allowed to give me the information all of you said I am entitled to.
