Thank you for the reply. It emotionally/financially seems like $550 in the hand is a sure thing. Using the comparison calculators, the Roth is better for me IF our tax bracket is the same (or higher) in retirement. If it is lower, then I should contribute to the traditional. It is pretty close, either way. The Roth, as you pointed out, is more flexible, and that is definately worth considering.Denise
