I've already contacted the BBB but that's more of a way to get back at Ameridebt and hopefully keep others from falling into their trap. I guess I'll have to buckle down and call each of the CC companies myself and have the "reason for lateness" noted in my credit report for future reference - guess it's time to grow up and take responsibility..

Impolite: Actually I wasn't late on my payments before asking Ameridebt to handle them... They made them late and at the time I couldn't afford double payments.. As to the new car - my "old" car is a 1999 transAm.. I was trying to trade it in for a 1996 car that was a bit less money and lower insurance rates. But, since I can't - I guess I'll have to keep it [darn, guess I'll have to put off some of the growing up ;-) ]
