First to ramfansray re: important House races -- Joe Walsh lost. Alan West lost. Paul Ryan won house seat--too bad.

I compiled some of my favorite posts from here tonight. I'm sure I missed some; you will see a specific theme for this, too, which is why I decided to repost them for your pleasure.
Re: big losses by Republicans "They'll have to rethink quite a lot of things going forward." About time they started thinking, period.

Lady on CBS just said that the Republicans need to do some soul searching. I wish them luck. I hope they find a heart too.

Over on CF the "we need to return to our roots and nominate a real Conservative". WTF? Maybe next time they'll advocate taking the ballot from women or reinstating slavery. You can't fix stupid.

Conservative: "I give up after this. Our country no longer deserves my caring about it. " I'm sure everyone is devastated.

Robert Gibbs on whether or not Republicans holding on to their seats have earned a mandate to not compromise with the President: "If your approval rating is less than the national drinking age, you're not doing a good job..."

I just remembered that Akin was in the House. He gave that up to run for the Senate. I'm counting this as two victories.

Conservative: "Things may not be bad where you live, but life is teetering on the edge of anarchy where most of us live. If Obama wins, people will die tonight and tomorrow at the hands of right wing terrorists." I'm sorry to have to say this, and I realize you won't believe me, but you are part of the problem.

Conservative: "I give up after this. Our country no longer deserves my caring about it." We survived Bush. You'll survive Obama.

re Akin: I'd like to see him open a hair piece store in a quiet strip mall. The last thing we need is another Fundie Frankenstein in the pulpit scaring more of the bejesus out of the ignorant paranoid.

re Sandy: That darn Obama. Not content to invent a time travel machine so he could insert a fake birth certificate, now he invents a weather controlling machine too.
