Thanks for the grape (and great) advice. I know I could read up, but who has time when they are growing so many plants?
I loved all the slug talk. I could easily have a boatload of slugs now.

I'm in NE Georgia. We have had quite a few years of very dry weather this century but the last year or so has been just about right. We still have a tendency to go without and then get a lot, but it is still so much better than the first decade. It is actually really cold today, too. Unusually so. It is 51F right now (2:30pm) and they predict 67F which I am having a hard time believing.

Scientists believe we might be heading into a strong El Nino event, which means continued moisture and about average temps here (I think), but I think is also means more rain for the west coast (which is very good). Definitely more Pacific hurricanes.
