Taking everything you've said into account, I think there is somewhat of a good reason to lower the debt at least to some degree. Like you say, when times are bad, cash flow becomes more of a question. Since we cannot predict the future, that could be something to think about.

As an aside, DDD has been interesting this week. I tried a covered-call trade on it this week (expiration at the end of the week) only to find myself rolling out of it once it started flying.
