Thanks for the response Peter. Makes me feel a little better.
But my one question would be why does it take so long to get Sharebuilder (or any broker) to figure out these tax breakdowns? I have in front of me at least 4 press releases from 4 different REIT's that list these tax breakdowns and they are all dated January 10 or earlier.
I know you can not answer why it takes them so long but I wish all these companies, brokers and IRS would get on the same page and get one date down that everything needs to be reported by and be done with it. I for one hate waiting till sometime in March (waiting for a corrected 1099) to start getting my taxes done (along with everyone else) and due April 15.
