Thanks for the thoughts Michael... I guess the kitchen is a good reverb, granite tile, hard appliances, cabinets... I liked the Yamaha's self diagnosis setup, likely better than I could ever manage on my own, there were other models, but few had that 12v sub control jack...

One solution to stick with the BIC bar would be to go to wall mounting the TV, raising it slightly.. The base extends forward and as we live in earthquake country (NorCal), might be better to go wall mount anyway..

Wouldn't it be a kick to build all new, but not happening, at 70+, I still think I can do it all, but reality is there would be a lot of pain involved..

OK, I'll keep planning, plotting, I guess I have to play the Lottery to win, tho.. Hmmm...
