Thanks for your prompt reply. I had checked into reallocation but find that I am already signed up for the most successful subaccounts and they do not offer an index fund. Since the annuity is selected through the union of the local county govt, it may just be more restrictive than others. BTW, I realized that I had not actually asked a question in my previous post
(but you were astute enough to pick up my drift). After reading everything I could find on annuities by TMFpixy, I get that that other forms of investment are more profitable in general. I guess I just want to be sure about stopping the contributions prematurely, given the tax benefits.
