Yes, this is insurance that keeps funding the 401(k) plan in the case of long-term disability. The company pays for short-term disability, and 1/2 salary for long-term disability. I can purchase 66 2/3 salary long-term disability. At my age (26), it is only 22 cents a month. I signed up for the 66 2/3% long-term disability. I opted out of the long-term care.
