A very good point.

When I called Pentagon CU about membership, I was told, if I am willing to pay a small new membership fee of about $25/-, 'National Military Family Association', I can become a member of Pentagon CU. (Life membership $300/-) I am not sure one needs to be a member all the time, but IMO, one should be, I The related basic info is also available on web site.
