Thanks Ray, I'll check out those links. I've been fortunate enough to have been sitting on 50-60% cash so far through the downturn. I have what I have learned about technical analysis from many of the people on this board to thank for that. I have only a few long term positions right now, and I have tried some small short term trades. Through this and my paper trading, I found I have been setting my stops too tight and selling my winners too soon.

I hate to say this, but I am grateful for the downturn at this time, right before I get my money. I plan on building my long term positions during this time, and hopefully catch the ride back up. I do not plan to put all of my money to work at once.

I feel like I have so much to learn, but I am committed to it as if it were another business I owned. I didn't know anything about the motel business when I got into it either. But 8 years later, it has turned out pretty good.
